The recurring elements that decorate the façades of the Nabatean tombs are principally the stair- style crowning of Assyrian inspiration, the frame, the architraves, the capitals on pilasters. Hence the entrance is framed by a tympanum (triangular or curved) with acroteria in the shape of vases or eagles. This rests on a frieze with metopes and trygliphs of Greek inspiration and hence pilasters with capitals.
