Medina ثاني المدن المقدسة كانت معروفة باسم “يثرب” في العهد الآشوري. وقد أظهر الحاكم الروماني إليوسجالوس المدينة في خرائطه خلال رحلته الهادفة إلى الوصول لأماكن إنتاج م هاجر الرسول صلى الله عليه 622 البخور. وفي عام وسلم إلى المدينة المنورة وأصبح ذلك التاريخ بداية للتقويم الإسلامي. ومنذ ذلك الحين، أصبح اسمها مدينة النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم. The Second Holy City The original oasis of Yathrib was already known in the Assyrian epoch. The prefect Elius Gallus shows it in his maps during the expedition to reach places for the production of incense. In 622 the Prophet transfers there, giving rise to the use of the Islamic calendar. Since then its name has become Madinat al-Nabi, “The City of the Prophet”. Medina المدينة المنورة 36
