The Center Two Capitals for One Dynasty The region of the Najd, “the plateau”, is isolated in the center of the peninsula. It is renowned for the strict religious observance of the populace and for hosting the Kingdom’s two capitals: Dir’iyyah, the ancient one, and Riyadh, the modern one. Here one can also find the most ancient rock carvings, dating back to 7000-6500 B.C., and witnessing to numerous settlements of various peoples. المنطقة الوسطى عاصمتان لدولة واحدة ترتفع هضبة نجد وسطشبه الجزيرة العربية. و تعرف المنطقة بتمسك أهلها الشديد بتعاليم الدين الإسلامي وبوجود الدرعية عاصمة الدولة السعودية الأولى، والرياضعاصمة الدولة السعودية الثانية والمملكة العربية السعودية. وتوجد قبل الميلاد حيثشهدت 7000-6500 بالمنطقة نقوشصخرية يعود تاريخها إلى المنطقة العديد من المستوطنات البشرية.
