The historic Hotel de Russie is located between Piazza del Popolo and Piazza di Spagna, at the foot of the Pincian Hill. Originally a vineyard belonging to Cardinal Scipione Borghese’s 17th-century villa, the hotel was designed in the 19th century by Giuseppe Valadier, also known for creating the semicircles of Piazza del Popolo. Once frequented by Russian nobility and artists like Picasso, Cocteau, and Nijinsky—who called it “a paradise on Earth”—it remains a destination for international celebrities. In 2000, it was restored by Sir Rocco Forte and Lady Olga Polizzi, who curated its interiors with warm Roman tones and neutral hues. The Nijinsky Suite, renovated in 2023, occupies the top floor with 172 sqm of interiors and over 200 sqm of terrace overlooking Villa Borghese and the rooftops of Rome—a dream stay in the heart of the Eternal City. The De Russie Spa features a pool, sauna, steam bath, gym, and high- end treatments by Swiss Perfection and Irene Forte Skincare, as well as holistic therapies like aromatherapy, shiatsu, and ayurveda. The monumental garden, also designed by Valadier, is a botanical oasis featuring fountains, terraces, and statues – the perfect setting for Le Jardin de Russie restaurant, led by Chef Fulvio Pierangelini, Creative Food Director at Rocco Forte Hotels. The iconic Stravinskij Bar, overlooking the garden, is one of the most enchanting spots in Rome to enjoy cocktails and Mediterranean flavors. 歷史悠久的 Hotel de Russie 位於人民廣場與西班牙廣場 Hotel de Russie a Rocco Forte Hotel Roma c i t y e s c a p e 104
